My core training is in a type of therapy called person-centred therapy. This is a humanistic type of therapy which focuses on the person rather than the “problem”. Person-centred therapy is non-directive, meaning that the therapist doesn't give advice or tell you what to do. Instead, the goal is to create a safe and supportive space helping you to feel comfortable and confident to explore whatever is on your mind, so you feel supported yet empowered to figure things out by yourself.
